Migos: Takeoff’s last Instagram story before being shot dead

Takeoff, a member of the rap trio Migos, was shot in Houston, Texas on Tuesday (November 1).

The rapper – full name Kirshnik Khari Ball – is 28 years old.

Police were called at around 2.34am local time (7.34am GMT) to reports of a shooting outside 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in downtown Houston, where a private party was taking place around 40 people.

Takeoff and his Migos bandmate Quavo were also in attendance. Quavo – real name Quavious Keyate Marshall – was not injured in the fight. The third Migos member, Offset, was absent.

A dispute broke out, allegedly after a game of dice, and keys were fired. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death was mourned by industry figures and fans alike, with tributes for the late rapper pouring in on social media.

Celebrities such as James Corden, Drake, SZA, Outkast, and Khloé Kardashian have shared posts remembering the rapper.

So far, no arrests have been made with Houston police chief Troy Finner calling on witnesses to “step up” with information about the shooting.

The police, as well as fans of the rapper, urged others to remove the video footage of the incident that was published on the Internet.


Offset changes Instagram profile picture to Takeoff’s photo after Migos bandmate’s death

ICYMI: Offset paid tribute to his late bandmate Takeoff.

While Offset hasn’t spoken out about his friend’s passing, the rapper changed his photo on Instagram Wednesday (November 2) to one of Takeoff’s faces.

A new mural was painted in Takeoff’s honor in Atlanta

An underpass in Atlanta, Georgia is home to a mural of Takeoff.

Takeoff is a native of Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, along with fellow Migos star Offset.

The mural is located under the John Lewis Freedom Parkway bridge near Fourth Ward Park.
