Princess Eugenie is expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank, due in the summer.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter, Eugenie, gave birth to her first son, Augustus Philip Hawke Brooksbank, 13th in line to the throne, in February 2021 at London’s Portland Hospital.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement today: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer.
“The family is delighted and Augustus is looking forward to being a big brother.”
A short time later, Eugene posted a cute photo taken by her husband Jack on her Instagram page showing her little boy kissing her belly and captioned it, “We are so excited to share that we will be adding a new addition to our family this summer. ‘

It is not clear where the photo of Princess Eugenie and Augustus was taken, but it appears to have been taken frozen on the ground in the last few weeks.
At some point, the child’s mother is seen beaming at her little boy, who is buried in her womb.
It is not yet known whether she will give birth to a boy or a girl.
Eugenie and her husband Jack first started dating in 2011 and confirmed their relationship that year when they attended the Royal Ascot show.

The couple were in a long-distance relationship in 2013 when Eugene left London to work at an auction house in New York.
Jack told The Daily Mail at the time, “We spend a lot of time on Skype. Great. We are still very much together.’
In 2015, when the princess returned to London, the couple became closer, and the following year they sparked engagement rumors.
But two years passed before Jack popped the question in January 2018, when the couple were in Nicaragua.
The Princess has had a busy few months with a number of royal engagements, including attending Sandringham Cathedral over Christmas and attending Kate’s opera concert (pictured with husband Jack)
Eugenie tied the knot with Jack in October 2018 before welcoming their first child, August, in February 2021.
She announced her first pregnancy in a similar fashion, posting a photo on Instagram at the same time the palace announced the news.
He weighed 8lb 1oz, and right after the couple broke tradition, Eugene posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram of himself holding his son’s tiny hand.
After she welcomed her son at the luxury private hospital where Meghan gave birth to her son Archie, she followed up the post with three blue hearts.

Eugenie went on to say that the name August was a touching tribute to Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert, born Franz Albert Augustus Carl Emanuel and Prince Philip, who died aged 99.
Although she kept August out of the limelight for her first two years, she delighted her fans by posting a video of her son dancing during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The 61-year-old Duchess of York previously spoke highly of Eugenie’s motherly skills in an interview with Hello magazine.
She said: “My children are wonderful mothers. They were wonderful children, but now they are wonderful mothers. Now I have two special grandchildren in one year.”
Evgeni kept August out of the limelight for the first two years, but occasionally took to her Instagram page to share photos of her little one growing up.
The royal couple, who currently split their time between Portugal and the UK, share family photos from time to time on Eugenie’s Instagram page.
The Princess has had a busy few months with several royal engagements, including a visit to Sandringham Cathedral over Christmas and an appearance at Kate’s opera concert.
The couple now split their time between the UK, Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore cottage and Portugal.
In May last year, it was reported that they were spending time at the Costa Terra Golf and Beach Club, a luxury resort located an hour outside Lisbon on Portugal’s beautiful Atlantic coast.
Jack’s work is believed to be linked to George Clooney’s long-time business partner, real estate mogul Mike Meldman.
The Duchess of York, 61, has previously praised Eugenie’s mothering skills in an interview, saying both her daughters are “amazing” mums.
Eugene’s husband previously worked for the Casamigos brand of tequila, and the actress helped him find it. It was sold to Diageo in 2017 for £550m. He is currently working for Mr. Meldman’s Discovery Land, which is developing CostaTerra since 2019.
It comes after Eugene said his son wanted to be a climate change activist “since he was two” and stopped using plastic at home.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the 32-year-old said the birth of her son in August 2021 had “completely changed” her views on the environment.
She said: “My son will be an activist from the age of two, which will happen in a few days.
“It’s all for them, right? Every decision we make now has to be about how August lives.”
His comments echoed those of his cousin Prince Harry, 38, who said after becoming a father “everything changed” and “what’s the point of getting to your age and bringing someone new into the world?” Is it burning?’

Becoming a mother has made the Duke of York’s daughter more concerned about communities vulnerable to climate change, Reuters told IMPACT and the Arctic Humanity at Risk Basecamp in a discussion.
Eugene told Reuters editor-in-chief Axel Threlfall and Gail Whiteman, founder of Arctic Humanism: “My son will be an activist from the age of two, which will happen in a few days.” So he, everything is for them.
“I spoke to the United Nations Special Envoy for Oceans, Peter Thomson, and what he told me was that I do this for my grandchildren. And the same.
“Every decision we make now has to be about whether it’s going to happen in August, what he can see and do, how he’s going to live his life.
“But I think as a mother, you suddenly and completely change, your hormones change, everything changes.
In an interview with Reuters IMPACT and Arctic Humans at Risk Basecam, Eugenie said it was a “battle” to teach her son about the environment.
In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he warned about the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities.
“As of now, I’m afraid of flying and things like that, and I would never have done that before.”
Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter says that becoming a mother has changed her view of the world and that her concern for climate change has influenced her life.
She said: “We don’t have plastic at home, we try to be plastic-free as much as possible, and I’m trying to teach him that. But it’s a battle.”
But the princess also spoke of her hopes for the future of the environment, saying: “I like to be ‘glass half full’.”
Eugene added: “I prefer it to be like this, but sometimes the facts and figures, sometimes the dinner party gives you such a sense of frustration, doom and gloom.”
He also warned about the impact of the changing environment on vulnerable communities: “Modern slavery and human trafficking are really big problems around the world.
“It is estimated that 49 million people are in slavery today, and we know that when the climate is fragile, the most vulnerable are affected.
“Every time there’s a crisis, we’re going to see more and more people becoming vulnerable and struggling.
“So climate really has something to do with it.”
