Country music stars are spilling the details about their dream duet partners.

Jordan Davis says he would love to work with one of his idols in the music industry – the late John Prine.

Prine died in 2020 from coronavirus complications at the age of 73.

“The ultimate duet partner, John Prine,” Davis said. “John Prine is the reason I love music. He’s the best music composer that ever lived in my opinion, so John Prine.”

Prine has written many hits throughout his distinguished career as a singer, including “You Never Even Called Me By My Name,” “Angel From Montgomery,” “Hello In There” and “In Spite of Ourselves.”

Bentley, who has worked with some of the industry’s top musicians throughout his career, also chose a final image.

“You know, I’ve made a lot of great friends. I’ve had the chance to sing with Alison Krauss, I’ve met Taylor Swift. That’s really cool,” Bentley said. “I’m a big fan of Frank Sinatra, so maybe he’s the guy.”

Tyler Hubbard’s dream collaboration is a country-pop crossover with boy band member Justin Timberlake.

“Ooh, last duet partner. I immediately thought of Justin Timberlake,” Hubbard said. “I don’t know why, but I think he’ll be fun to work with.”

Timberlake previously dated fellow country star Chris Stapleton. The two teamed up for the 2018 single “Say Something” and their 2013 duet “Drink You Away.”

Decker is one of the lucky ones in the industry who can say that he has already worked with his dream duet partner, having released a single with him two weeks ago.

She hopes she and Billy Currington will return to the CMA Awards next year as nominees for their duet on the song “I Still Love You.”
