HBKU Innovation Center announces winners of Entrepreneurship Program Fund

Doha: The Innovation Center of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has announced the first five winners of the Entrepreneurship Program Funding (EPF). Each awardee will receive a kickstarter fund of QR 100,000 to promote their business.

The five recipients are:

IQemoQarar – Majed Hadid, PhD Student in Logistics and Supply Chain Management graduate, College of Science and Engineering (CSE), for an intelligence-based support application that uses health and medical data to address bookings, scheduling, and issues job. meet the standards of cancer treatment services in Qatar.

SUNPave – Eng. Mohammad AlGammal, Technical Lab Coordinator, Texas A&M University in Qatar (TAMUQ), for a revolutionary patented solar panel technology that produces as much energy as a solar panel that is 10-15% less expensive (and even more money and some equipment) without. the need to submerge the land, disturb the ground or build a high frame.

Salad – Dr. David Yang, Associate Professor, CSE, for EdTech patented interactive platform that seeks to make children have a spiritual and social life by engaging them in a common activity – Islamic prayer – through the help of intelligence and networking technology.

QOT Qatar – Dr. Sa’d Shannak, scientist, Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), for innovative market research and decision-making tools that address the different layers of the challenge of food security and supply. Q Green – Dr. Ameni Boumaiza, scientist, QEERI, for an online trading platform for green energy trading between consumers and prosumers that will provide a low, convenient, and strong trading market for people and organizations that intend to consume or sell renewable electricity.

The five winners were selected among 15 entrepreneurs who participated in the first round of the Entrepreneurship Program, among teachers, scientists, students, and senior managers from CSE, QEERI , Qatar Foundation, and Education City’s partner universities including TAMUQ, Georgetown University in Qatar, and Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar.
