Currently, the contestants in the bracket are all competing with two countries to win.

Brazil and Argentina are among the contenders to reach the final, while France and England are the top four semi-finalists. Tournament favorites Spain and Germany finished within a few brackets of the far-flung United States to reach the semi-finals.

Brazil and Argentina accounted for more than 25 percent of the brackets, with 28.2 and 27.7 percent respectively, much higher than the United States (10.7 percent) and France (7.1 percent).

Let’s dive into how the numbers break down and take a look at some of our talent bracket picks below!

Group winners

  • Netherlands (Group A): 78.3%
  • England (Group B): 72.1%
  • Argentina (Group C): 84.0%
  • France (Group D): 77.1%
  • Germany (Group E): 58.6%
  • Belgium (Group F): 69.2%
  • Brazil (Group G): 95.9%
  • Portugal (Group H): 67.0%

Argentina and Brazil are not only the favorites to reach the finals in our bracket, but they also have relatively weak sections. So it makes sense that most of the bracketed contestants were the two teams that made it out of their respective groups and won outright.

The Netherlands also benefit from a low-rated group that includes host country Qatar. Although not one of the favorites to reach the final or even the semi-finals, the Dutch are the next favorites to win their group with 78.3%. The first five teams were England and France.

And don’t worry about the USA – the USMNT finished second in Group B (58.4%) and are the most popular picks to advance to the knockout stage.

  • Argentina: 79.2%

Brazil leads the way with the most teams to qualify for the last 16, with the majority of the bracket.

It’s surprising that defending champions France are given less support than England to reach the knockout stages. England won the tournament only once in 1966.

The USMNT is also a popular team in the round of 16, with 45% of participants expressing their love for the young team.

Brazil continues to lead the way, and it should come as no surprise to anyone that defending champions France are also rising to prominence.

On the other hand, bracket rivals England are not so confident of a place in the quarter-finals. The Three lions Moving from the third most likely place in the last 16 to the fifth most likely place at this stage.

Bracket entries are nothing if not consistent. Brazil and Argentina are still the two best teams to reach the last four. But there is one surprise – the popular favorites for the semi-finals are the United States, along with England.

In other words, the contestants are rooting for the USMNT to make a deep run.
